5 Ideas For a Fabulous Summer Garden

summer garden

Summer is the best time of year to be out in the garden. No matter how big or small your garden may be, spending time outside in your space can be extremely enjoyable. Here are 5 ideas we’ve put together for you so that you can maximise your gardens potential this summer.

Find the sunny spots

Finding out which part of your garden hosts the most sun during summer days will maximise the amount of time you can spend enjoy the warmth and rays from the sun.

Once you have established where the sunny spots are, you can plan your garden around that area by placing chairs and tables in desired locations. If you don’t like too much sun, you can simply plan to keep your furniture out of sunny spots, and let your grass, flowers and other photosynthesising flora enjoy the light and warmth instead.

Buy a pond

Ponds are a lovely addition to any garden. They bring life to your garden and make for a pleasant visual attraction.

No matter how big or small your garden is you can find a pond to suit. You can purchase water residing plants and fish to bring your pond to life even further, and will provide you or the rest of your family with some scaly friends to look after.

Designated barbecue area

Barbecues are one of the greatest things about summer living. When the sun is out and the weather remains dry, whipping out the barbecue and cooking up a feast for friends and family is something that will create lasting memories and bring extra value to your garden. Don’t forget to provide vegetarian options!

Outdoor sports/games

Using your garden for outdoor activities, be it games or sports, is a great idea for the summer. We’ve seen many different things brought to peoples gardens from Ping-Pong tables, football goals, swing ball, croquet or even giant jenga.

All of these games will provide hours of fun for family and friends. With more shopping around, you can find a game that suits you, and for not too much money either!

Get comfy under the stars

Long, warm evenings are one of the best things about summer time. Purchase yourself some comfy outdoors lounging chairs, preferably something with large, soft cushions, so you can really make the most of those long, warm evenings in summer.

We’d love to know what other ideas you have to make the most of your gardens in the summer time! We hope you have found this article useful.
