Access to the island is only by boat. I have a boat with an electric engine for the summer which I will provide with the house, but a petrol engine will be required in the winter months, when there is more current. A ferry service operates from both banks from Easter until the clocks change in the autumn. There is unrestricted parking on both banks. Plenty of walking space on both banks, with Bushy Park to the North and Hurst Park to the South. It is easy walking through Bushy Park to Hampton Hill, Hampton Wick, Kingston and Teddington. Garricks Ait is a community of 24 homes. The island has mains water and sewage, gas, electricity and broadband. Council tax Band A is paid to Elmbridge Borough Council.
